November-December 2008

Harvest Party
This is left over from October: The annual Harvest Party at Brookville Road Community Church had as this year's theme, "American Heroes."  The Family Life center was filled with enormous inflatable slides and games. The children had a wonderful time.

November Pictures
We were blessed again to have a visit from Tele Moraes and several of his colleagues from the mission field in northeast Brazil. We enjoyed a beautiful picnic at Riley park with Dan & Laura's and Andy & AJ's families. Adrianne planned and executed the the lunch, then we played a round of disk golf around the course Mark and Andy laid out. Thanksgiving was also wonderful with Carrie's usual fabulous spread, and everyone home except Joe & Rebecca.

November Birthdays
The 3rd, 4th and 22nd of November are birthdays for Peter (21), Paul (19) and Luke (23). We were able to get them home for their birthdays celebrations, but Luke's was best attended because it overlapped with Thanksgiving this year.

December Pictures
Adrianne's birthday (the 5th) seems to always require a trip to the Spaghetti Factory, and Carrie's pistachio cake. The guys have really started to favor the board game Junta over the previous favorite, Settlers of Catan. Carrie's been shopping continuously for the past 2 months, mostly on-line. Based on the credit card statements, the economic downturn has not yet hit Greenfield...

And finally, the guy on the left thanks his family for putting up with this sight constantly, and wishes you all a blessed Christmas and a safe and productive New Year!

Family Portraits
I set up a "studio" in Dan & Laura's living room to take these photos, which you can see at my Phanfare website. Click the thumb

Christmas!
Pictures and video clips from Christmas Eve skits and gift exchange. Unfortunately the daughters-in-law's skit did not get recorded, but the words to their creation are here.

After-Christmas Memories
A trip downtown for Scavenger Hunt and spaghetti . Laura and Dan's high school friends Addy and Kevin Kerkhoff came by to sing some of their songs from Madrigal Choir again. This may become an annual reunion!  Also: Playing Humans vs. Zombies, and backyard fun, and an evening at the Kopper Kettle for the "Adult Taylors." Finally, our New Year's Eve Party. What a memory-packed week of fun!
